Hi I Am Jim Duell From Perry, NY. I Went To The Sea Serpent Balloon Festival Tonite And Within 1 Hour Took About 300 Pictures Of The 12 Balloons That Lifted Off At Around 6:30 PM. This Is A Event Held Each Year On The Last Weekend Of July At The Perry Village Park Off Of Lake Street. There Is All Kinds Of Concessions And Food Enough For All That Attend. Balloons usually lift off around 6 or 6:30 weather permiting.

Some of the special shaped balloons in the past that have lifted off in Perry have been : Norman The Sea Serpent, Tony The Tiger, Polky Turtle, Red Hot Chilly Peppers, Pepsi, ReMax. Hopefully in the future there will be more special shaped balloons flying over Perry.

LITTLE INFO ON FIRST BALLOON FEST

Perry Balloon Festival started back in 1997 when the festival was held in a mowed field off of Club Road T/O Castile on the west side of Silver Lake. It was a beautiful weekend and everybody was out all across town watching the balloons passing over the houses. Each balloon would start out and cross over the lake and at the same time lower enough that the basket would just touch the water and then continue on there voyage across the wide open skies. Having over 100 pictures of that night I will pick a few and put them on a seperate page of this site.
